Daughter leftto be fall person

Mackenzie Bashamm, my 19-year-old daughter, is serving a 14 year sentence in Dayton Correctional Institution, a maximum security Ohio prison. She plead out of fear to nine counts of burglary after being scared to death by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

The lead crime scene investigator last year plead guilty to 59 counts of tampering with evidence and theft in office.

My daughter admitted to receiving stolen property and the sheriff’s office knew of who all was involved in the burglaries but let her take the blame to avoid racial conflict.

I need her story to be heard to get her a commuted sentence. She left behind a little boy. She had no priors; her public defender told her to ” just take the deal”….. Please read her story and all the community support with the petition on Change.org via Voices for Mackenzie Basham.
