Why is the phone number of the Allen County Board of Elections not listed in the phone book?
I am a 95 year old senior citizen and have never missed voting. I am now housebound and wanted to call for an absentee ballot, but it was not listed.
My daughters from out of town were able to get it from the internet. I think many people especially the elderly do not have access to the computer or internet. I have heard of other people who have moved and could not reach The Board of Elections to report a change of address.
I firmly believe in and cherish my right to vote and consider it my right and duty to exercise that right. I am concerned that many people don’t vote because of this missing number.
If the system is broken, let’s fix it.
