Letter: Candidate just keeps running

Here’s the scoop regarding a letter from theColumbus Grove mayor stating: “Mike Lammers attends numerous meeting.” Yes, he does that and more. Listen, he attends meetings uninvited, he’s not on the agenda, speaks for five minutes, does a photo-op, leaves, then posts it on facebook. Tsk. Tsk!

Why doesn’t Mr. Mayor or Lammers write regarding Lammers short stint on the Board of Health? Lammers was for 6119 before he’s against it. This is the water and sewer consolidation attempt. Taxpayers would have no say, but forced to pay.

In various newspapers Lammers preaches on the virtues of “respect.” Is butting in at meetings respectful? Is a five minute stint respectful? Is an unfinished term on the Board of Health respectful? Is being for 6119, the majority rejects respectful? Webster defines “respect” as courtesy or considerate treatment. Does Lammers have a dictionary?

There’s controversy regarding Lammers political party affiliation. First, he runs as an Independent, he displays Democrat’s yard signs, now claims to be Republican. Ever hear of a professional candidate? Lammers ran for Commissioner, got beat, ran for Township Trustee, got beat, now he’s running for Republican Committee Member against long-time Greensburg Township Member George Schroeder, and for County Commissioner, I swear the man’s just job hunting.
