OTTAWA – After getting down 23-8 by halftime to No. 1 seed Leipsic in Thursday’s Division IV district semifinal, Columbus Grove girls basketball head coach Brian Schroeder decided to simplify his team’s offense for the second half.

VAN WERT — In the regular season, Miller City beat Leipsic by 24 points but in the postseason rematch, the Wildcats needed a balanced offensive attack, strong free throw shooting and a strong second half defensive effort to fend off the Vikings 57-47 in the Division IV sectional semifinal Tuesday.

DELPHOS – After a slow start, Delphos Jefferson roared back to beat Leipsic 45-27 for its third consecutive Northwest Conference girls basketball championship on Monday night.

LEIPSIC — Thursday’s girls basketball matchup between Leipsic and visiting Columbus Grove had strong league implications.
