Ohio State Senator Dolan stops in Allen County

LIMA — Ohio State Senator Matt Dolan (R-Chagrin Falls) made a stop in Allen County on Monday afternoon. Dolan said he met with the Allen County Republican Chairman and the Allen County Sheriff to discuss the needs of the county.

“We talked about what is important in the county and what some of the needs are,” Dolan said. “We need a conservative voice to go to Washington to start getting things done.”

Dolan currently holds a seat in the Ohio State Senate. He is currently campaigning for the U.S. Senate seat to replace incumbent Sherrod Brown (D-OH). Dolan shared what he hopes to focus on if elected into Congress.

“The thing we have to do is secure our border,” Dolan said. “We cannot have a nation without borders —we need to know who is coming into our country and what they are bringing in. Having been down there, I know fentanyl is coming in at a record rate and human trafficking is up.”

Dolan also shared his aim to address the spending in the U.S.

“We have to address our economy and get inflation down,” Dolan said. “We also have to get more people working and bring more jobs back to the United States. We need to get upward mobility, making sure people feel the American Dream is still alive.”

Dolan is not the only Republican candidate who hopes to obtain this new role. Secretary of State Frank LaRose and Bernie Moreno will also be on the ballot for the 2024 primary election.
