Road construction and maintenance projects

ALLEN COUNTY

Interstate 75 between Napoleon Road and state Route 235 (PID 94214): From just south of the village of Beaverdam to three miles north of the village of Bluffton, in Allen and Hancock Counties, will experience lane restrictions and ramp closures for paving and reconstruction through November 2020. Beginning Sunday, March 15, Interstate 75 at SR 696 near the village of Beaverdam will have nightly lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Additional restrictions will be announced.

Interstate 75 in Allen County, between the Fourth Street exit in the city of Lima and the Auglaize County line, will experience delays for pavement warranty reviews. The process will begin on southbound lanes. Traffic control will be provided by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

April 1-2 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for concrete review.

April 7-8 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for asphalt review.

State Route 81 over the Ottawa River (PID 101189) approximately two miles east of the city of Lima will close on Monday, Apr. 13 for a bridge deck replacement through July 2020. Miller Brother Construction, Inc., Archbold, serves as the general contractor.

Detour: I-75 to SR 309 to SR 235 back to SR 81 (see map).

State Route 117/state Route 309 in Lima is closed at the intersection of Elm Street, Bellefontaine Avenue, and Calumet Avenue for a project to construct a roundabout. Detour: SR 309 to I-75 south to Fourth Street to state Route 65/St. Johns Road to Pine Street back to SR 117/SR 309/Elm Street.

Businesses on Bellefontaine Avenue, between the CVS pharmacy and Shawnee Street, can be accessed from the east end of the project from the intersection of Bellefontaine Avenue and Shawnee Street.

Businesses on Bellefontaine Avenue and Elm Street between Calumet Avenue and Harrison Avenue can be accessed from the west end of the project.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

I-75 between US 33 and National Road, left lane closures in both directions March 30th – April 1st from 9 am – 2 pm for pavement repairs.

HANCOCK COUNTY

I-75 Widening and Reconstruction in the city of Findlay (PID 97005): The project to reconstruct and widen I-75 through the city of Findlay beginning just south of Harrison Street/County Road 144, which is just south of the U.S. Route 68/state Route 15 interchange, to the county Road 99 interchange, is entering its fourth and final year. Construction on the following ramps will continue until late fall:

I-75 northbound to U.S. 68/state Route 15

I-75 northbound to Lima Avenue

U.S. 68/state Route 15 to I-75 southbound

Lima Avenue to I-75 southbound

Detour: I-75 to the state Route 12 back on I-75 southbound.

Between Harrison Street to the U.S. 68/state Route 15 interchange all four lanes will continue to travel the southbound side until late summer. Two lanes will be maintained in both directions the majority of the time.

Daily lane restrictions will begin the week of March 30 at the interchange with SR 696 near the village of Beaverdam from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Interstate 75 at state Route 613: State Route 613 just west of the village of Van Buren will experience lane restrictions and I-75 ramps will have closures for concrete pavement repairs. The project begins Monday, Apr. 6. A tentative schedule is detailed below:

State Route 613 just east of Interstate 75, between the interchange and the village of Van Buren, will close on Monday, Apr. 6, for approximately three days for pavement repairs.

Detour: I-75 to SR 18 back to SR 613.

Interstate 75 northbound exit and entrance ramps at state Route 613 will close following the completion of the pavement repairs on state Route 613 on Wednesday, Apr. 8 for approximately three days for pavement repairs.

Detour: Exit ramp traffic to continue north to SR 18 to I-75 south back to SR 613.

Detour: Entrance ramp traffic onto I-75 south, CR 99, back to I-75.

Interstate 75 southbound entrance ramps at state Route 613 will close for pavement repairs on Monday, Apr. 13 for approximately two days.

Detour: I-75 north, SR 18, back to I-75 south.

State Route 613 just west of the Interstate 75 interchange will have intermittent restrictions beginning Wednesday, Apr. 15, for approximately four days. One lane of traffic will be maintained as well as access to the Pilot Truck Stop and Home Depot Warehouse.

State Route 613 over Interstate 75, between the ramps will be closed for five days following the completion of the work listed above on approximately Monday, Apr. 20 for pavement repairs.

Detour: SR 613 westbound to I-75 north to SR 18 to I-75 south back to SR 613.

Detour: SR 613 eastbound to I-75 south to CR 99, I-75 north, back to state Route 613.

U.S. 68 at state Route 15 , south of the city of Findlay, closed March 16 for approximately four months. Ramps on both sides of the bridge will remain open. Work is being performed by Vernon Nagel, Inc., Napoleon. Visit the project page for more information.

County Road 8 and county Road 180 will be limited to right turns only at their intersections with state Route 15. Through traffic on the county roads will not be able to cross state Route 15. Traffic will not be able to turn left onto or off state Route 15.

State Route 15 will be maintained under the bridge. Periodic lane closures may be necessary.

Detour: U.S. 68 northbound traffic will be detoured onto state Route 15 eastbound, to state Route 37, to state Route 15 westbound, back to U.S. 68. County Road 221/Main Street southbound traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 68 north/state Route 15 west, Interstate 75 northbound, state Route 12, Interstate 75 southbound, back to U.S. 68. See map.

U.S. 68 southbound traffic will not be impacted.

U.S. 68 resurfacing (PIDs 107652), between the city of Findlay in Hancock County and the city of Kenton in Hardin County, excluding the villages of Arlington and Dunkirk will begin Monday, Mar. 30. Traffic will be maintained through the work zone. Complete in fall 2020. Visit the project page for more information.

Beginning Monday, Mar. 30 traffic will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for the installation of signs followed by pavement marking and striping removal.

HARDIN COUNTY

U.S. 68 resurfacing (PID 107652), between the city of Findlay in Hancock County and the city of Kenton in Hardin County, excluding the villages of Arlington and Dunkirk will begin Monday, Mar. 30. Traffic will be maintained through the work zone. Complete in fall 2020. Visit the project page for more information.

Beginning Monday, Mar. 30 traffic will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for the installation of signs followed by pavement marking and striping removal.

U.S. 68, one mile south of Dunkirk, is expected to open Friday, Mar. 27 following a culvert replacement

State Route 31/Main Street in the city of Kenton between Letson Avenue and Franklin Street closed on Thursday, March 12 for approximately four months to replace water and sewer lines. OHM Advisors, Columbus, serves as the general contractor.

Detour: SR 31 to Letson Avenue to U.S. 68/Detroit Street.

PUTNAM COUNTY

Berming operations will impact traffic with lane restrictions through the workzone at the locations listed below. Work will be performed by the Putnam County maintenance garage.

U.S. 224 between Kalida and Glandorf

SR 115 between Kalida and SR 694

SR 694 between SR 114 to Glandorf

SR 66 between U.S. 224 and Mandale in Paulding County

SHELBY COUNTY

Park Street between Oak Avenue and North Wagner Avenue, BRIDGE CLOSURE November 21st – May 15th. The official detour is Park Street to Oak Avenue to Michigan Street to North Wagner Avenue to Park Street

VAN WERT COUNTY

U.S. 30 between the city of Van Wert and the village of Middle Point will be restricted through the workzone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the Van Wert County maintenance garage.

State Route 116 south of the village of Venedocia will be restricted through the workzone for soil boring work. Van Wert County maintenance garage will provide traffic control.

Berming operations will impact traffic with lane restrictions through the workzone at the locations listed below. Work will be performed by the Van Wert County maintenance garage.
