Mr. and Mrs. Don Klingler
HARROD — Mr. and Mrs. Don Klingler are celebrating 70 years of marriage.
Don and the former Joan Rhodes were married March 20, 1954 at Elm Street Church of the Brethren in Lima by the Rev. Paul Thompson.
They are the parents of four children, Jeff (Marianne) Klingler, Jackie (Carlos) Ochoa, Jim (Pam) Klingler and Julie (Tim) Klingler. They have four grandchildren, Jonathan, Jason (Ariceli), Justin Ochoa and Jenna (Ben) Chapman, and four great-granddaughters, Khloe, Eden, Isabella and Eliana.
Don is retired from the United States Marine Corps after serving 30 years in service to his country. Upon retirement, he served 13 years as general manager of the Allen County Fair as well as the executive director of the Ohio Fair Managers Association. He also operated Klingler farms near Harrod.
Joan was a 30-year Marine wife and homemaker. She then was employed at Apollo Career Center until her retirement.
