We’d better enjoy all these roses before a blast of cold weather withers them away.
Rose: To First National Bank, which opened its first location in Lima over the weekend, at 2580 Eastown Road. It’s nice to see the Pandora-based bank continuing to grow.
Rose: To Diane Urban, who has taken the pain of her son’s overdose death and turned it into something positive, with the group Association of People Against Lethal Drugs.
Thorn: To Mother Nature. We get it; it’s winter. We didn’t need two blasts of snow and icy roads last week. Colder weather this week isn’t going to make it much more fun.
Rose: To Joe Horn, the Waynesfield-Goshen native who was inducted into the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Hall of Fame. Back in high school, he won three individual state titles and anchored a winning relay in the same year.
