LIMA — Even in winter, preparing for the next season is never too early. Local farmers and students are getting ready for crop planting in the spring. The Ohio State University Extension held its fourth annual Allen County Ag Outlook and Agronomy Day on Tuesday.

Local church to host Community Fellowship Meal

LIMA — A Community Fellowship Meal will be open to community members from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Feb. 21. The dinner will take place at St. John’s Community Church, 205 N High Street, Columbus Grove. According to a recent press release, the meal will include lasagna, garlic bread, salads and dessert.

LIMA — St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church offers the community a chance to see its annual Black History Month display, “We Are A.M.E.,” in February following its 10 a.m. Sunday service at the church, 1103 W. Spring St., Lima.

Art gallery to host Bluffton students’ work

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University has announced an art exhibit showcasing the work of seniors. According to a recent press release, the show will feature the work of Kelly Nilen, Jenía Freewalt, Adrianny Ruiz Suarez and Amanda Scott. The exhibit will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday-Friday beginning Feb. 19 until March 22 at the Sauder Visual Arts Center, S. Spring St., Bluffton. On the weekends, the exhibit will be open from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. The release also states the students will be present at the gallery from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 17.
