Stober hired as development director for Mercer fair board venture

CELINA — The Mercer County fair board has announced the hiring of Tafi Stober to the position of director of development for the board’s Grand Event Center and Market Hall.

Stober previously served as executive director of the Van Wert Performing Arts Center.

Board President Bart Leininger said Stober “brings a special energy to the project. Her admiration for the work ethic and values of Mercer County and the Grand Lake Region is shown in her desire to build something that will impact generations to come.”

The event center is a multi-million-dollar campus designed for year-around, large-scale indoor events. The 100,000 square foot facility has capacity to serve up to 6,000 attendees and will host expo and trade shows, concerts and various entertainment and athletic events.
