LIMA — The North Central Ohio Solid Waste District has released its drop-off recycling program schedule for May.
• American Township: 2:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at the northwest corner of the Lima Mall parking lot, 2400 Elida Road, Lima
• Monroe Township: 2:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 9 on South Wall Street, Cairo
• Bath Township: 2:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 16 at the Bath Township Hall, 2880 Ada Road, Lima
• Gomer: 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 18 at Uncle Al’s, 4305 Lincoln Highway, Gomer
• Auglaize Township: Noon to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21 in the parking lot of the Allen East Community Center, 9520 Harrod Road, Harrod
• Jackson Township: 2:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 21 in the parking lot east of the fire station, 215 E. Sugar St., Lafayette
• Delphos: 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25 at Delphos Fuel and Truck Wash, 1770 E. Fifth St., Delphos
The only items this program will accept are:
• Paper: newspaper, advertisements, magazines, cereal boxes, telephone books, junk mail, office paper, brown grocery bags
• Cardboard: must be flattened and no longer than two feet by two feet and any styrofoam and plastic wrap must be removed
• Plastic bottles/jugs (#1 and #2 only): milk jugs, beverage bottles, shampoo, laundry detergent containers, household cleaning bottles (rinsed clean)
• Glass food jars/bottles: green, brown and clear bottles only, must be rinsed clean and lids and labels removed
• Metal cans: aluminum cans, pet food, steel and tin cans, rinsed clean and labels removed
