Michigan woman injured in crash that closed I-75 Thursday morning

LIMA — A Michigan woman reportedly underwent surgery for a broken right femur Thursday morning after her vehicle rear-ended a semi-tanker truck on Interstate 75.

The accident, which occurred around 8 a.m., shut down the southbound lanes of the interstate for a brief time.

According to a spokesman for the Ohio State Highway Patrol the semi, driven by Billy Crawley, 67, of Flintstone, Georgia, had stopped for road construction on I-75 just south of Beaverdam when the Jeep, driven by Enjoli Monier, 24, of Oak Park, Michigan, failed to stop and her 2021 Jeep struck the rear of the tanker.

The woman was transported to Lima Memorial Health System for treatment. Neither alcohol nor drug use were suspected in the accident, the patrol spokesman said.
