Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative members donate $13,152

PAULDING —The Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative announced that members donated $13,152 to 16 local charities and community projects by rounding up their monthly elecric bills to the next dollar.

About 80% of members participated in this program.

Recipients included the Caring and Sharing Food Pantry, the Crane Township Cecil Fire Department, the Defiance Soil and Water Conservation District, the Fort Jennings Volunteer Fire Department and the Friends of the Paulding County Parks.

The program is run through Operation Round Up, which started in 2010 for groups in Ohio and Indiana.

The Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative serves more than 12,900 members in Paulding, Putnam, Defiance, Van Wert and Allen Counties in Ohio and Adams and Allen Counties in Indiana.
