Lima Police Department to hold trick-or-treating contest

LIMA — Lima Police Chief Kevin Martin will be in different parts of the city Thursday handing out candy and stickers to children during trick-or-treating hours.

As an added bonus, however, the chief will be taking photos with trick-or-treaters with participants having the chance to win lunch with Martin and Mayor David Berger.

Photos from trick-or-treating will be posted on the Police Department’s social media pages with followers able to vote on their favorites. The three top vote-getters will then be at the mayor’s weekly media briefing and will tour the Police Department. The top vote-getter will be treated to lunch with Martin and Berger at a restaurant of their choosing.
