COLUMBUS — State Rep. Jon Cross, R-Findlay, held a press conference in support of coming proposed legislation to promote seatbelt safety Wednesday.
The bill would turn failing to wear a seatbelt or secure a child in the proper booster seat or seatbelt from a secondary offense to a primary offense.
Members of Gov. Mike DeWine’s administration were present at the press conference.
The legislation will next be given a bill number and a committee assignment in the Statehouse.
