The news of baseball great Pete Rose passing away brought back a memory.

Elon Musk recently said, ”Very few Americans realize that, if Trump is not elected, this will be the last election. Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!”

As most readers of this letter have, I have encountered thousands of people in my life. Most people you do not form deep impressions of. Some people for many different reasons you dislike. Other people for many different reasons you admire. Sherrod Brown is one person who I admire.

This is an open letter to Allen County Democrats.

I would like to make a comment concerning the closing of the Dana Corp. plant in Lima, the result being the loss of 280 jobs.

God has the last word. That’s why Donald Trump was in office. Put protection around the president. No weapons against Trump will prosper. In Jesus’s name, thank you, Lord. Protect the security guards who may lay their lives down for the presidents. A divided house won’t stand.

Political rot needs to be weeded out.

Voting 101: “How To Win An Election.” It means a lot to the candidate, win or lose. It means a lot to the voter, win or lose.

I came to America in 1971 from India, a young physician for extra training and learning. I fell in love with this country and decided to live here. I settled down in Lima in 1978. My family and I never felt discriminated because of our color or religion (Hindu). We loved Lima. This was home! We were loved and accepted by our community. An immigrant like the rest of America, of all colors and religions. This was our country. I registered as a Republican.

This is a response to three letters in the Aug. 21 issue. I would like to begin by saying the state of the views of the Republican Party in the U.S. has devolved into nothing more than a gang of win-at-any-cost disciples of lies.
