LIMA — Additional doses of the Moderna bivalent COVID-19 booster shot are back in supply at Allen County Public Health, which is hosting adult vaccination clinics from 9-11 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays by appointment only. Deer hunting season opens soon in Ohio
LIMA —The beginning of deer hunting season is here. Across the state of Ohio, deer archery season starts on Saturday, Sept. 24. Last season, more than 95,000 deer were taken with a bow. According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, bow hunting has increased in popularity. Archery season lasts until Feb. 5.

Kessler Estates celebrates opening
LIMA — During the break between rain showers, Kessler Estates Senior Living had a ribbon cutting at 2075 N. Eastown Road. It was scheduled to coincide with the beginning of National Assisted Living Week, which was established in 1995 to provide unique opportunities for residents, their loved ones, and staff, to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors.

LIMA — On the road to November, Congressman Tim Ryan made stops across Ohio to address the opioid epidemic. The incumbent Democratic candidate is running against Republican candidate J.D. Vance in the upcoming election for the U.S. Senate. Ryan held a discussion at Brightview Recovery Clinic to determine what can be done to help in the fight.

DELPHOS — Tony Hoffman returned Monday to Delphos St. John’s High School. He first spoke on March of 2020, two days before the school closed for COVID. He returned to speak again to students from both Delphos St. John’s and Delphos Jefferson.
