LIMA — Preschool students in Lima heard a prison employee reading Dr. Seuss to them Thursday morning as part of a weeklong celebration of Read Across America Week.
Alisa Noel, a corrections officer at Allen-Oakwood Correctional Institution, read “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss to the children at Trinity United Methodist’s Center for Creative Child Care on Thursday.
Noel’s visit, along with warden Angela Hunsinger-Stuff, were part of the prison’s outreach in the community.
