• Allen County Public Health has canceled its off-site vaccination clinic for Friday, Dec. 23, due to inclement weather. The clinic will also be closed on Monday, Dec. 26, in observance of Christmas. The final clinic, which offers updated COVID-19 boosters and influenza vaccines, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Clock Tower Plaza, 927 N. Cable Road, Lima.
• Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Putnam and Van Wert counties remain at high risk, according to CDC community level ratings.
The latest CDC data show an estimated 30 new hospital admissions per 100,000 people in Allen County in a seven-day period, a slight decline from the previous week, while the percentage of staffed inpatient beds occupied by patients with COVID illness has declined to 7.3%.
• There were five additional deaths attributed to COVID-19 reported in the five-county region in the last seven days, including four in Allen County and one in Auglaize County, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
