DELPHOS — Carson Parker allowed no hits and a walk while striking out eight as Lima Central Catholic defeated Delphos Jefferson 10-0 in a five-inning Tuesday baseball encounter.

With only one senior on its roster, Bluffton’s boys basketball team began the season as a bit of a construction project.

ELIDA – In a recent Northwest Conference matchup between Bluffton and Allen East, Bluffton had to battle back late in the game to defeat the Mustangs, 61-54.

MCGUFFEY — Olivia Stolly, who had 21 points, became Lima Central Catholic’s second all-time girls scoring leader, passing Jill Downing’s total of 1,208, in the Thunderbirds’ 48-33 victory Saturday against Upper Scioto Valley. Stolly now has 1,211 for her career. Stolly’s sister Madison is the all-time girls scoring leader with 1,828. Bridget Mulcahy scored 14 for Lima Central Catholic (7-11). Kennedy Hall had 13 points and and Nevah Lowery scored nine for USV.

Facing a stretch of four games in five days, Lima Senior dialed back its press a bit to save its players’ legs. But those legs certainly weren’t too tired to launch 3-pointers during a 77-44 boys basketball win over Lima Senior on Tuesday night at Senior High.

LIMA — Elida and Lima Central Catholic have gone down similar paths, so far this season.

Lima Central Catholic led the entire second half and most of the first half on its way to a 71-52 boys basketball win at Perry on Saturday afternoon.
