ELIDA – On a day when college football coaches were getting Gatorade buckets emptied on them across the country to celebrate winning conference championships, Lima Central Catholic’s boys basketball team celebrated winning the Tip Off Classic its own way on Saturday night.

ELIDA – The first game of the Tip Off Classic on Friday night at the Elida Fieldhouse was a one-sided 53-31 win by LCC, and it appeared the second game might be headed in the same direction when Elida built a 17-point lead halfway through the second quarter of its game against Shawnee.
