White, Parks named Players of Year

Ottawa-Glandorf’s Colin White has been honored as the Division III Co-Player of the Year and St. Marys’ Austin Parks received that same honor in Division II on the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association All-Northwest Ohio boys basketball teams, which were announced Wednesday night.

White is a 6-6 junior who averaged 21 points a game for O-G. Spencerville’s Josh Henline, a 6-2 senior who averaged 16.2 points a game, joined him on the Division III first team. Ottawa-Glandorf’s Caden Erford, a 6-4 junior who averaged 14.0 points a game, and Lima Central Catholic’s Carson Parker, a 6-3 junior who scored 15.2 points a game, are on the Division III second team.

Ottawa-Glandorf’s Theo Maag, a 6-7 senior who averaged 13.0 points a game; Allen East’s Keaton Lehman, a 5-10 senior who scored 16.6 points a game, and Spencerville’s Dylan Smith, who averaged 13.5 points a game, are on the Division III third team.

Parks, a 6-11 post player who signed with Ohio State, averaged 21.8 points a game, and Van Wert’s Aidan Pratt, a 6-4 senior who scored 20.6 points a game, are on the first team in Division II.

Austin Miller, a 6-4 senior from Shawnee who averaged 14.3 points a game, is on the Division III third team.

Delphos St. John’s freshman Cameron Elwer, who averaged 21.9 points a game, is one of three Midwest Athletic Conference players on the Division IV first team, along with Fort Recovery’s Cale Rammel and Marion Local’s Jack Knapke.

Ottoville’s Kellen Schlagbaum (6-1, senior, 14.3), Kalida’s Jaden Smith (6-2, senior, 13.5), Crestview’s Gavin Etzler (6-3, senior, 10.2), St. Henry’s Evan Bowers (6-2, junior, 15.7) and Upper Scioto Valley’s Drew Stephens (6-2, senior 15.7) are on the third team.

Aiden Harris, a 6-2 junior from Pandora-Gilboa who scored 17.2 points a game; Ayden Simpson, a 6-3 senior from Perry who scored 15.7 points a game, and three MAC players — Marion Local’s Jadyn Mescher, St. Henry’s Luke Beyke and New Bremen’s Aaron Thieman — are on the Division IV third team.

In Division I, Lima Senior’s Anthony Mosley (6-4, senior, 10.2) is on the second team. The Spartans’ Brandon Moore and Je’Kel Cotton received honorable mention.

Ottawa-Glandorf’s Tyson McGlaughlin, Spencerville’s Kevin Sensabaugh and two other coaches shared Division III Coach of the Year honors.
