ARCHERY

Allen County: The Allen County Archers hold 3-D shoots the first Saturday and Sunday of each month through September. It is open to all equipment. They are also holding traditional 3-D shoots on the third Saturday of the month all year long weather permitting. They are open to all archery equipment. The Archers will be holding a “stump shoot” for traditional bows only the fourth Saturday of each month weather permitting. BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

Ada: A strike out cancer event will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at War Memorial Park. The Ada baseball and softball teams will be competing in a home run derby and a fastest pitch contest. There will also be a 50/50 drawing, raffle baskets and a bake sale.

BASEBALL

Delphos: The 12th annual Nathan Miller Memorial Tournament will be June 3, 4 and 5 at Stadium Park. The tournament is a 16-20 team format for boys ages 11-12 years old (age cutoff is March 1). The tournament will be pool play with a three-game guarantee. Players must be from the same school district. Awards will be given. Cost is $200 with a $50 non refundable entry fee. BASKETBALL

Elida: The Dakota Mathias Basketball Camp is scheduled June 20-21 at the Elida Fieldhouse. The camp is for boys and girls in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. All skill levels are welcome. Cost is $99. Registration is available at dakotamathias.com.

Lima: Xavier Simpson will conduct two basketball camps – one on June 25 and another on July 30 — at the Lima Family YMCA for boys and girls in grades kindergarten through ninth grade. A session for kindergarten through fifth grade is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon and a session for grades 6-9 is scheduled from 1 -4 p.m.

DAY CAMP

Lima: Kids will be taken through a summer of discovery from June 6 until Aug. 19 at the Lima Family YMCA at 345 S. Elizabeth St. Space is limited so parents are encouraged to register early with camp packets available at the YMCA desk. Cost is $85 per week for members and $110 for nonmembers. GOLF

Delphos: Delphos Country Club will play host to the Tom Sakemiller Scholarship Outing on Saturday, June 18. “The Sake” will have a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start and will be followed with a meal. The format will be a four person Powerball Scramble where three team members will play a scramble each hole with the fourth team member playing an Orange Powerball for a separate score. The team will alternate who plays the Powerball each hole. The field will be divided into three equal flights based on the number of entries and equal prizes will be awarded to the winners of each flight and to the winner of the Powerball. Entry fee will also include a skins game and eight on-course contests. After completion of play, all Orange Powerballs will be placed in a drawing for a $400 cash prize. The cost is $75 per golfer. Lima: The Lima Senior High School Athletic Department will hold its first four player scramble with a 9 a.m. shotgun start Saturday, June 25, at Tamarac Golf Course. The outing will benefit athletic programs and student athletes. The cost is $60 a person or $240 a team, which includes lunch, cart and green fees. The deadline to register is June 20.There will also be door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, a skins game for $20 per team and mulligans for $5 each (max four per team). Trophies will be awarded to first, second and third-place teams. Send entries (including names, addresses and phone numbers of each player on the team) to the Lima Senior Athletic Department, c/o John Zell, 1 Spartan Way, Lima, OH 45801. Checks or money orders should be made out to Lima Senior Athletics. The athletic department is also accepting donations and prizes for door prizes and hole sponsorships for $100. Harrod: The Jon Shively Memorial Scramble will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at Colonial Golfers Club. Cost is $60 per person or $240 per team. Fee includes 18 holes, cart, a meal ticket and drink tickets. There will also be a 50/50 drawing, proximities on selected holes and a skins game. Hole sponsorships are also available. The Shively Memorial Scholarship fund will receive $500 with the remaining proceeds being split between the Perry football and baseball programs. HORSESHOES

Lima: The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Corn hole leagues are forming. PICKLEBALL

Lima: Pickleball is played at Bradfield Center from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. All skill levels are welcome.

Lima: The Lima YMCA is holding open pickleball play from 10 a.m. to noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (appointment only). RUNNING

Spencerville: The Summerfest 5K Run will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 25. Register at runsignup.com/Race/OH/Spencerville/summerfest5k by June 18 for $15 with shirts available for $10. SWIMMING

Lima: The Family YMCA at 345 South Elizabeth St. will be offering a Splash Week/Learn to Swim program from Monday, June 6, to Friday, June 11, for those ages 3 and older to learn basic water skills and how to be safe around the water. Classes will include boating safety and a family water safety day. The 45-minute classes for ages 6 and older will start at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. The 30 minute classes for those ages 3-5 will start at noon, 12:30 p.m., 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Cost is $5. TENNIS

Lima: The LATA Summer Camp will be held Mondays through Thursdays, June 6 to June 16, at the Collett Street Courts. The Pee Wee sessions for those ages 5 to 8 will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and the Junior program for those ages 9 to 17 will be from 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Awards will be handed out June 16 with Juniors also playing a tourney on that date. Fridays will serve as makeup days in case of rain. Pre-register from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, June, 3, and noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Collett Street Courts. Pre-registration only with donations accepted. Class sizes will be limited. Those on the wait list will replace no shows. Participants must be COVID-19 symptom free and should wear appropriate tennis shoes, shorts and shirts and bring water. If needed, rackets will be provided. TRAPSHOOTING

Lima: The Lima Sabres have various shooting events. Thursday Trap Practice for Adults/Juniors/Beginners is 4 p.m. weekly. Adult Trap Practice is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, weather permitting. YMCA CLASSES

Lima: The Lima Family YMCA offersclasses for adults, including karate, swimming, Water Aerobics, arthritis aquatics, chair exercise classes, yoga (chair and regular), HIIT, BodyPump, Yoga Pilates Flow, core workout CX, combat, Zumba, cardio and tone and cycling. Members get land fitness classes free and a discount on other classes. Nonmembers are welcome to join classes at a pay per class rate or session fee.
