The Ottawa Legion Post 63 baseball team traveled to Chillicothe for the Bill Jadwin tournament Friday. In game 1, Ottawa defeated Hammond out of Tennessee 10-2. Jared Davis (Bath) had three hits, including a triple, and two RBI, Terry Dockery (Continental) had three hits and Adam Purdy (Elida) had four RBI. Austin Verhoff (Ottawa Glandorf) was the winning pitcher.
In game 2, Post 63 lost to Demmer (Dewitt, Michigan) 11 to 1. The rest of the tournament was canceled due to inclement weather.
