The aftermath of last year’s fiery train derailment in eastern Ohio doesn’t qualify as a public health emergency because widespread health problems and ongoing chemical exposures haven’t been documented, federal officials said.

SWANTON — Allen County residents could hear and see fighter jets in close proximity to a Civil Air Patrol aircraft overhead this morning.

LIMA — The Allen County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will complete a siren test at noon on Wednesday, April 3. The tests are run every month on the first Wednesday.

LOGAN CO. — Governor Mike DeWine’s tour of tornado damage at Indian Lake was canceled Tuesday due to impending weather, but he said he was able to view some of the damage on the way in and gave a press conference providing updates on a request for federal relief and warning against expected severe conditions later in the day.

LIMA — Stand-up comedian Bert Kreischer will perform at 7 p.m. June 25 at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center in Lima.
