Letter: Trump’s own words should make GOP question him

Here’s another brief sampling of Donald Trump’s quotes. He really said it; you can look it up.

2005: “I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the (expletive). You can do anything.”

June 2016: “I know more about ISIS than the generals do, believe me. They don’t know much because they’re not winning.”

September 2018: “I was really being tough — and so was he (Kim Jong Un, Supreme Leader of North Korea) … and then we fell in love, OK? No, really — he wrote me beautiful letters, and they’re great letters.”

July 2019: “Then I have an Article 2, where I have the right to do whatever I want as president.”

January 2020: “There is a great man, a great leader in Europe — Viktor Orban. He is the prime minister of Hungary. He is a very great leader, a very strong man. Some people don’t like him because he’s too strong.”

February 2022: “This is genius. Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine, Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful.”

December 2022: “A massive fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations and articles, even those found in the Constitution.”

May 2023: “The time has come to reclaim our once great educational institutions from the radical left, and we will do that. Our secret weapon will be the college accreditation system.”

Does this sound like the conservative Republican Party we once knew — the party of morality, democracy, strong military, Communist-fighting, minimal control from Washington, strict construction of the Constitution?
