Ottawa-Glandorf’s Kaufman receives scholarship

OTTAWA — Jay Kaufman, a graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School, has been awarded the second Roy V. Armes Scholarship for $5,000 from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company.

Kaufman, 19, the son of Jill and Glenn Kaufman, was team captain of the football and basketball teams. He was also a member of student council and the National Honor Society. He has done volunteer work for Challenged Champions Equestrian Center, The Meadows of Ottawa and American Red Cross. Kaufman has also been active in his church.

Kaufman plans to attend The Ohio State University to study mechanical engineering.
