Bath juniors tour Lima’s U.S. Plastic factory

LIMA — Eleventh grade students from Bath High School toured U.S. Plastic recently.

The students were shown the facility and learned about the different positions available with the company. The students were also told about a U.S. Plastic employee, Berta Thaman, who began working for the company in the store and after 17 years of moving up the ladder is now part of the senior management team.

U.S. Plastic makes and sells about 32,000 different items and adds around 1,500 new items a year. The company uses rotation molding to make the assortment of plastic products they sell.
