PERRY TOWNSHIP — A Cops for Kids event will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday at Perry Elementary School.
Police officers will be on hand to interact with students and will present a K-9 officer demonstration, a bomb squad exercise, dodge ball games and other activities.
Representatives of the D.A.R.E. organization will be present to do photo and DNA identification cards, with parental approval.
The first 100 students will receive a free gift bag. There will be a drawing at the end of the day for a variety of prizes.
The event was organized by the Perry Elementary School PTO.
