Second grade students learn about safety

DELPHOS — Second-graders from Delphos St. John’s, Landeck, Spencerville, Lincolnview, Franklin, and Fort Jennings schools recently participated in a safety event.

The day began with a performance by Zeus the K-9 police dog. Students then went to a variety of stations where they learned about boat and water safety, grain safety, farm animal safety, electrical safety, farm equipment safety, chemical safety, lawn mower safety, fire safety, Internet safety and railroad safety. There was also a Life Flight demonstration.
