Perry schools participate in federal program

LIMA — Perry schools will operate the Community Eligibility Provision Program under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2017-2018 school year. All schools that operate under this program will serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge, eliminating the collection of meal applications for free/reduced-price, and paid student meals. This program reduces the burdens for families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.

Families with children eligible for school meals may be eligible for free health care coverage through Medicaid and/or Ohio’s Healthy Start & Healthy Families programs. For more information or to request an application call 1-800-324-8680.

For more information on the school lunch policy or the free health care, contact Allison Van Gorder at 419-221-2770 or email her at [email protected].
