Bluffton University building nature center

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University is building the Moyer Nature Center within the university’s nature preserve.

The nature center will be 30 by 40 feet and constructed of cultured stone, wood and metal with views of a pond and a vaulted ceiling. The site was cleared last month by the contractors and is scheduled for completion later this fall.

This structure would provide the Bluffton science faculty with a permanent place to conduction long-term projects studying birds, mammals, water quality and climate studies, to name a few.
