LIMA — The staff of Lima schools will hear from speaker Joe Martin at its Opening Day Meeting on Tuesday. The meeting is a gathering of staff before the first day of school.
Martin is an award-winning speaker, author, professor and retention expert. He has co-authored or authored seven books, including the top-selling “Good Teachers Never Quit” and “Tricks of the Grade.” He has spoken to such groups as the National Education Association, National Association of Secondary School Principals and USA Today.
Martin holds a doctorate degree in curriculum development and a master’s degree in communications. He has worked as a trainer for a Fortune 500 company, and the state and federal government in the field of public relations, including a position as communications director for the Florida’s Governor’s Office.
