LIMA — The Lima-Allen County Safe Community Coalition reported there were three fatal traffic crashes on Allen County roadways this year during the months of January, February, March and April. In all of 2023 in Allen County, there were 10 fatal traffic crashes; there were 15 in 2022.
Two fatal crashes in Allen County this year occurred on state or federal highways, while one — in which a pedestrian was killed — took place on a city street.
Alcohol and/or drugs were believed to have been involved in one of those accidents.
