LIMA — Shawnee and Defiance claimed top honors in the Western Buckeye League Scholastic Bowl Tournament on May 2 at the Ohio State University-Lima campus.
Shawnee came in second place in the varsity competition and first place in the junior varsity contest.
The varsity Shawnee team included Evan Conley, Caiden Garlock and Andrew McKenzie; the team finished with an 8-1 record.The junior-varsity team included Georgianna Damschroder, Ezra George and Tamduc Tran, who finished with a 7-1 record.
Defiance won the varsity competition and came in second place in the junior-varsity contest.
