LEIPSIC — A tornado briefly touched down near state Route 65 and Road 4 between Melrose and Leipsic at 8:36 p.m. Monday, according to preliminary reports from the National Weather Service.
Putnam County Emergency Management Director Brian Hilvers said the agency has not received any damage reports from the site as of Tuesday afternoon.
Preliminary reports from NWS indicate tornadoes touched down in Hancock County and Paulding County near the Van Wert County line, while another possible tornado in Fort Recovery is under investigation.
The Auglaize County EMA also shared video of an apparent tornado taken near state Route 364 and Southland Road in St. Marys Township on Monday evening.
