LIMA — The Lima Area Concert Band announced its schedule at Wednesday’s mayoral press briefing.
Regular concerts for the band this year include “The Beat Goes On” on Saturday, May 11; “Celebrating Sousa” on Saturday, June 15; “Welcome to the Cabaret” on Saturday, July 20; and “Music of Stage and Screen” on Saturday, Sept. 14, all starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center, excluding the September concert, which will be at Lima Senior High School’s auditorium.
The band will also perform free community concerts including “Star Spangled Spectacular” at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 4 and Concerts in the Park at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, both at Faurot Park in Lima. It will also perform at the Summer Moon Festival at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 21 at Wapakoneta High School.
