LIMA — The Red Cross will offer lifeguard certification classes form 5:30 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays from May 6 to 22 at the Lima Family YMCA at 345 S. Elizabeth St.
Anyone who is 15 years of age or older interested in registering for a summer lifeguard position can register online at ymca.net.
Youth must be able to swim 300 yards and retrieve a brick from 12 feet of depth.
