Blanchard Valley closing some offices early April 8

BLUFFTON — Blanchard Valley Health System will close some practices early Monday, April 8, the health system announced via press release Friday.

A full list of office closures and hour changes is available at https://bvhs.info/officeclosures.

Health system officials encourage people to fill prescriptions ahead of time to avoid eclipse day traffic, while patients with chronic illness flare-ups should call their physician in advance in case it’s difficult to get an appointment Monday.

Emergency rooms will remain open during the eclipse.

Physicians Plus urgent care in Findlay is also extending hours from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 7, and will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 8.

“We anticipate a lot of visitors arriving in our community over the weekend, which means more people may need healthcare,” Jesse Parker, supervisor at Physicians Plus, said in the release. “Additionally, community members may want to get health concerns checked out on Sunday evening in case it’s difficult to get an appointment on Monday.”
