LIMA — Donors who contribute to a new scholarship granting organization at Lima Central Catholic are eligible for a state income tax credit.
The high school created the Thunderbird Scholarship Granting Organization last May, allowing donors who contribute to Catholic education in Lima to qualify for a state income tax credit of up to $750 for individual filers or $1,500 for joint filers.
Contributions to the SGO may be claimed as credits until the filing deadline for the 2023 Ohio tax return or April 15, 2024, according to a press release about the scholarship from LCC.
