LIMA — Malik Dennis, the Lima 18-year-old accused of killing a 14-year-old girl, waived his pre-trial and and pushed his trial to Sept. 9 later this year.
Dennis was charged with aggravated murder and two counts of murder, as well as felonious assault, improperly discharging a firearm and tampering with evidence after the Feb. 13 shooting death of Lauralye Sterling.
Dennis confessed to and apologized for scaling a residence on Greenlawn Avenue in Lima and firing the shot that killed Sterling through a window.
