Superior partners with Ohio Treasurer’s office for home savings account

LIMA — Superior Credit Union has just announced a new program. The state of Ohio Treasurer’s office has partnered with Superior to create an Ohio Homebuyer Plus savings account. According to a recent press release, the account will provide members with ‘above-market’ interest rates to help them as they begin the process of purchasing a new home.

“At Superior, we believe a primary means of achieving wealth is through homeownership,” President and CEO Phil Buell said in a recent press release. “We’re delighted to partner with the state and work together to incentivize homeowners. Ohio Homebuyer Plus is a great addition to our mortgage offerings, including SuperiorFirst, our first-time homebuyer grant program.”
