LIMA — The Lima Noon Optimist Safety City is hosting an open house from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept.2. The free event will feature a bounce house, dunk tank, food and more.
“When I first took over, people came to Safety City and asked, ‘What is this place?’” Officer Eric Mericle said. “It floored me people did not know what we did. This is a way we say thank you to people who have sent their kids to us and for people who do not know to come and see what we do.”
The event will be held at Safety City, 700 S. Collett St. in Lima.
