LIMA — The Allen Soil and Water Conservation District will be selling rain barrels to help save water. According to a recent press release, the water collected from the rain can be used to water gardens and even cleanse outside tools. Community members are able to purchase the 45-gallon barrels online at www.allenswcd.com/rain-barrels/ or in the office at 1870 Slabtown Road.
The release also said a rebate of $25 is available for residents who live in Lima, Elida, American Township, Bath, Perry or Shawnee Township who purchases any 40 gallon (or more) rain barrel.
