Community Awards Dinner
5:30 p.m. today
It is all about recognizing those who make the Wapakoneta community better as the Wapakoneta Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual meeting followed by its Community Awards Dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. today at the Grand Plaza Banquet Hall at 915 Defiance St. in Wapakoneta.
Ohio Theatre 95th Anniversary
6 p.m. today
The Ohio Theatre in Lima will celebrate its 95th anniversary in Lima with an event starting at 6 p.m. today. The event will see a number of speakers followed by a singing of Happy Birthday and the usual open mic night. A full bar and food menu will be available throughout the entire evening, as well as a complimentary anniversary cake.
Glee Club Concert
7:30 p.m. today
The Ohio State University Men’s and Women’s Glee Clubs will perform in a concert at 7:30 p.m. today at the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts at OSU-Lima. The concert is free, but seating is limited. Tickets can be reserved at http://go.osu.edu/LimaGlee or calling 567-242-7233. High school students from Shawnee, Spencerville, Wapakoneta, Ottawa-Glandorf and New Bremen were invited to sing at the concert.
Christmas Craft Show
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday
The 37th Annual Country Collection Christmas Boutique Craft Show will take place from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Allen County Fairgrounds in Lima. Admission will be $4. There will be over 250 booths of merchants, youth exhibits, agriculture and youth activities.
Fall Chamber Concert
2:30 p.m. Sunday
Lovers of classical music will want to go to Yoder Recital Hall on the campus of Bluffton University at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, as the university will hold its fall chamber concert.
