LIMA — Through the month of November, law enforcement officers across the State of Ohio will be focusing on seatbelt safety. Law enforcement encourages drivers and passengers to wear their seat-belt every time.
According to a recent press release from the Lima/Allen County Regional Planning Commission, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the national use rate was 90.4 % in 2021. In 2017, the use of seatbelts saved 14,955 lives.
The goal is to remind everyone that wearing a seat belt can save a life.
