BLUFFTON — Four Bluffton University professors recently won research grants:

• Dr. Steve Harnish, math, will develop computational simulations to address the climate crisis.

• Dr. Lamar Nisly, English, will study late-career novels.

• Dr. Jacob Buchanan, environmental science, will work on a permaculture garden or sustainable land management, for the university’s nature preserve.

• Marathana Prothro, communication, will present the C. Henry Smith Peace Lecture on how contemporary online tools can inhibit peacemaking.

Faculty members will share their scholarship when the university’s Friday colloquium series resumes in September.
