Winter Crisis Program starts soon

LIMA — The West Ohio Community Action Partnership and the Ohio Department of Development have joined together to help Ohioans stay warm for the winter. Income-eligible community members can apply for the Home Energy Assitance Winter Crisis Program to receive electric or utility bill assistance, bulk fuel bill assistance or heating system repair assistance.

The program is available from Nov. 1 to March 31. Applicants must schedule an appointment by calling 419-516-0063. According to WOCAP, applicants must bring a copy of recent energy bills, a list of household members and proof of income for the last 30 days or 12 months for each member, proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency for each household member and proof of disability if applicable.
