Aug. 29

John M. Anders, 39, Fort Jennings, was sentenced to 180 days in jail for domestic violence. The judge suspended 173 days of the sentence and credited two days previously served. He was fined $500 which was suspended. The bond in the matter is to be returned and the civil protection order issued is terminated. He was granted work release subject to department requirements.

Aug. 30

Jose Hernandez, 23, McComb, was sentenced to 30 days in jail for attempted failure to comply with order of an officer. He was placed on five years community control and given credit for 12 days served. He must obtain and maintain employment and successfully complete all counseling and treatment recommended. He is to pay restitution in the amount of $940 to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and will be granted work release upon department requirements.

Charity Baugh, Ottawa, was granted a divorce from James J. Arthur, II, Toledo. They were married June 25, 2020 and no children.

Heather Cox, Leipsic, and Craig Cox, Leipsic, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Aug. 21, 1999 in New Cleveland and have no minor children.

Sept. 1

Jennifer L. Hahn, 41, Oakwood, pleaded guilty to practicing nursing without a license. She faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10 a.m. Oct. 6. Hahn was instructed by the judge to attend PASSPOINT screenings on Mondays and Thursdays. A charge of theft of drugs was dismissed.

According to the indictment, Hahn engaged in the practice of nursing for Hilty Memorial Nursing Home as a licensed practical nurse from Jan. 13 through March 23 of this year without a current valid license as her license was under suspension by the state board.

Brian K Bennett, II, 35, Cloverdale, was remanded to the WORTH Center for domestic violence. He must obtain and maintain employment and successfully complete all counseling and treatment recommended and have no contact with the victim.

Joshua G. Coleman, 27, Adrian, Mich., charged with drug abuse/possession, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Alexandra Mahlmeister, 25, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to driving under FRA/non-compliance. Sentence: $150 fine.

Aug. 29

Alfonzo Mata, 74, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to wrongful entrustment. Sentence: $150 fine.
