Car shows and more

Monday, Aug. 8, then every other Monday through Sept. 19: Car & Bike Night, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wings and Rings, 1939 Roschman Avenue (next to Sam’s Club), Lima. Free admission. Door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Ten percent of food sales go to the West Ohio Food Bank.

Wednesdays through Sept. 28: Happy Daz Cool Car Cruise-In, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Happy Daz, 802 S. Cable Road, Lima. Free. All vehicles welcome from Model A Fords to new electric cars. Check out Facebook page HappyDazCoolCarCruise-In if the weather is an issue. Contact Chris Schimpf, 419-230-4505.

Friday, Aug. 12: Riley Creek Car Show and Burnout Contest, 3 to 9 p.m., Main Street, Pandora. $10 registration fee. Door prizes will be awarded. First 100 cars will receive a dash plaque. Vehicles do not need to be entered into the show to participate in the burnout contest. Trophies will be given to multiple classes, including late-model, tractor and race car. Saturday, Aug. 27, then monthly through October: Bluffton Cars & Coffee, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., 902 N. Main St., Bluffton. An informal gathering for enthusiasts and their cars. This free show features all makes of automobiles and motorcycles.

Saturday, Aug. 27: Allen County Fair Car Show, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., registration 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Allen County Fairgrounds, 2750 Harding Highway, Lima. $25 entry fee per car (entry for two into the fair).

Saturday, Sept. 10: Pioneer Days Car Show, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., registration 10 a.m. to noon, downtown Kalida. Pre-registration $8 by Sept. 1 via check or money order to Rigsby Performance, 11108 Tuscaora Path, Lakeview, OH 43331. Judging 12:30 p.m. Awards 4 p.m. Approximately 300 cars in 30 classes with all judging done by the participants. Awards go to top three in each class. Classes include street rods, customs, antiques, stocks, trucks, motorcycles and specialty vehicles as well as best paint, best interior, best engine, best Ford, best General Motors, best Chrysler and best of show. Friday, Sept. 16 to Saturday, Sept. 17: 43rd annual The Rebel Run Classic Car Show, Allen County Fairgrounds, 2750 Harding Highway, Lima. Pre-register for $30 by Sept. 15, or $35 on day of show. $5 admission for adults, free for children 12 and under. Free T-shirt for first 500 registered cars. Saturday, Oct. 8: Cairo 696 Customs Halloween Trick or Treat Car Show, 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., registration 2 to 4:30 p.m., Main Street, Cairo. A “don’t miss it burn-out contest at end of show. No charge, but donations accepted. Donations benefit local charities. Contact Rick Davis, 419-236-4297.
